Marlynne Stutzman

Marlynne Stutzman is an elite endurance athlete and Special Olympics trailblazer who competes in marathons and Ironman triathlons while living with autism. She has turned elite endurance performance into a platform for inclusion, advocacy, and community giving.

Highlights

  • Historic achievements: First person with autism reported to complete a full IRONMAN and the Boston Marathon, and a competitor at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona.

  • Special Olympics champion: A Special Olympics athlete for over 15 years who has set records and inspired other athletes with intellectual and developmental differences.

  • Community leader: Honored as a Lightning Community Hero and awarded a $50,000 Lightning Foundation grant, which Marlynne directed to the Special Olympics to expand opportunities for others.
